About Us:

The Chantilly Revolution are two elite girls soccer teams competing in WAGS (Washington Area Girls Soccer League www.wagsl.com) in the Washington, DC area.    We are part of the Chantilly Soccer Club (www.chantillysoccerclub.org) home to many top level WAGS, NCSL, and ODSL soccer teams.  The Chantilly Soccer Club is the premier youth soccer organization for elite travel players in the Chantilly, Herndon, Loudoun, Fairfax, and Centreville areas.  The club is dedicated to providing high level and competitive teams and is well known for its quality programs.

• The U14 Chantilly Revolution ’95 will play in Division 3 WAGS.
• The U12 Chantilly Revolution ’97 will play in Division 2 WAGS.

Our Coaches: 

Fernando Arias, USSF B License.  Fernando has coached youth soccer in Northern Virginia for over 12 years and has more than 12 state championship teams.   Fernando was born in Venezuela and played soccer for his country. 

Derek Donahue,20 years of coaching high school Junior varsity and Varsity sports to include Soccer, Football and Wrestling. 12 years coaching youth sports for SYA, CYA, and CSC to include Soccer, Football and wrestling.  

Dave Rennyson, USSF D Licensed.  Dave has been coaching youth soccer since 1987 in New Jersey and Virginia including WSA, CYA, SYA, VISTA and CSC.

The Revolution '97 team also benefits from the experience of its assistant coaching staff: Tim Horgan and Scott Johnson

Goalkeeper Training: The Revolution uses dedicated licensed trainers for its keepers on both teams.

The Revolution team philosophy is to create a positive environment that promotes fun, stresses hard work, fosters teamwork and helps develop strong character and sportsmanship.

Positive Coaching:

The Chantilly Revolution and the Chantilly Soccer Club is based on the founding principal of independent team creation and growth including but not limited to coaching, player development, and team management.  Experienced licensed coaches lead both teams.  All adult participants are Kid Safe and Positive Coaching Alliance certified.   Chantilly Soccer Club is unique as a Travel Only Soccer Club and is recognized as one of the leading independent club organizations of its kind.

Positive Parenting:

A lot has been said and written about positive coaching and the Positive Coaching Alliance has advanced these core concepts across many sports.  Club sports have the added pressure of parental involvement which adds additional complexity to the sidelines.  The Revolution encourages positive, historic coaching from its parents and spectators.
